Shoutime dumped NEED FOR SPEED GT. Kevin Eshbach dumped pals from Victory Road. Rafael Alonso, Recreativas.org sent us a dump of an ITISA version of Hyper Olympic. Arcade Hacker dumped a poker game called Poko and he dumped the roms and battery ram for Los Justicieros by Picmatic (aka Zorton Brothers). There is currently no way to dump its laser disc for mame as mame is in laser disc limbo. Lastly, it looks like Arcade Vintage, Recreativas.org sent us a dump of a Model Racing pcb from the 1970s which may be for a game called Cross Fire.

Update: Arcade Hacker dumped a clone of Tazzmania by Rodmar Elec. and a new clone of Pacgal.

DU: New computer chairs

Brizzo extracted the sound rom from the Bubble Bobble prototype and virtually all the music is different. Try not to shit yourself. If you do shit yourself, you're never going to get that out so first thing is order a new computer chair online.

coolmod dumped floppy disk updates for Hydro Thunder, looks like they update the original release to the version we have in mame (1.01B).

Brizzo dumped alt versions of Wai Wai Drive and Block Pong-Pong lent from Fabrice Arzeno . I think the previous Block Pong-Pong dump turned out to be the SC / Shopping Center version.

MAME front end pfeMAME version 1.007 released

$

pfeMAME version 1.007 has been released today

pfeMAME is a front end for the Multiple Arcade Game Emulator (MAME) written in Python. It is cross platform (tested on Linux - Ubuntu and Windows). It also includes a graphical Tile View designed for MAME cabinets which allows control using joystick / gamepad. It supports favorite game flagging, MESS systems, and a Tiled view for arcade cabinets. It was written with a minimalist view in mind but also because there were some features I wanted that other front ends just didn't provide.

Please see the changelog for full change information and make sure you read the manual if you are a first time user.

This release includes quite a few bug fixes and a few new or improved features. I have also incorporated a very early support for launching Visual Pinball tables - this has nothing to do with MAME really as it requires that you have VPINMame and Visual Pinball located somewhere and already fully set up and working - its really just a hack at a very basic front end as I like playing pinball tables but I have the complexity of existing front ends.

There are two notable issues; Under Linux if you are building from source yourself, don't use the setup.sh file to copy the support files - do it manually for now. Also under Linux, the manual doesn't open on some installs - just open it manually.

You can download Windows 32bit / 64bit and Linux 64bit packaged distributions as well as the source code from here. Please also look at the sourceforge web page for screenshots.
Comments are freely welcomed as per usual.

pfeMAME was written by Gareth Finch and started in 2014.

You are free to distribute pfeMAME and modify its source as you wish, however pfeMAME is not to be sold or repackaged for commercial sale.
